JR-PT Pattern Specialist

Jacqueline Reynolds:  40 years in the making

Based in the heart of the UK I have specialised in the art of pattern cutting for over 40 years, starting out at the age of 18 working alongside experienced co-workers producing British made garments. In 1988 I had the opportunity to work for one of the most prestigious men’s wear designers in the UK Sir Paul Smith. This was where most of my traditional skills came about working alongside a highly skilled design team. At this time all sampling and production was produced by British and Italian manufactures.

Moving onto 2001 my skill moved into a different direction by joining the Ministry of Defence in the area of Defence Clothing, after years of manual pattern cutting, I now had the opportunity of using a CAD system, with so many different types of uniforms from PPE to Ceremonial, I worked for 4 years upgrading the full Tri Services uniforms with a team of others including Specifications, Sampling and Patterns. At the same time, I decided to invest in my own CAD system and start my own business.

In 2007 Jacqueline Reynolds Pattern Technologist was formed, I am now in my 20th year
The technical skills learned have stayed with me throughout my working life; I pride myself on being precise and always providing a good service. The wealth of knowledge I have gained over the years has enabled me to work on a variety of garments from Fashion, Tailoring, PPE, Workwear, Wetsuits, Drysuits’, Body Armour and so on.
